Stack – Plan & Progress: Privacy Policy - SouthIndus Labs

Stack does not collect any personal data from your boards. There is no account, no sign-in, and no registration. We do not operate any servers, and none of your boards, lists, tasks, or files are transmitted to us.

All of your planning data — your boards, lists, tasks, checklists, comments, labels, due and start dates, plan items, attachments, and cover images — is stored locally on your device and optionally synced via Apple's iCloud (CloudKit/SwiftData) under your own Apple ID. We have zero access to your iCloud data. iCloud data is governed by Apple's privacy policy and your iCloud terms of service.

The only information that ever reaches us is feedback you deliberately choose to send through the in-app Feedback & Roadmap screen, described below.

Stack syncs your data between your devices through iCloud Sync. Your boards and everything on them sync across your Apple devices through your personal iCloud account. This data is managed entirely by Apple. No data passes through any third-party server, and we cannot read it.

To show how many of your devices are in sync, Stack keeps a small record for each of your devices (its name, such as "My iPhone", and its platform) alongside your boards. That record lives only in your own iCloud account and is never sent anywhere else.

So that your devices hear about changes promptly, Apple's iCloud may deliver silent notifications to the App. These are sent by Apple, contain none of your board content, and are never displayed.

You may optionally share a board with other people using Apple's CloudKit Sharing. You invite people through the system share sheet, and they join with their own iCloud account. There is no user directory, no user search, and no server of ours involved.

Everyone you invite to a shared board can see that board's contents — its lists, tasks, checklists, comments, labels, dates, plan items, and attachments — and the names of the other people on the board as provided by iCloud. Depending on the permission you grant, they may also be able to edit it. A shared board is stored in the board owner's iCloud account and made available to participants by Apple. Only share boards with people you trust with their contents.

The board owner can stop sharing at any time, and any participant can leave a board. We are not a party to your shared boards and cannot see them.

Stack includes an optional Feedback & Roadmap screen, shared across our apps, where you can view our public roadmap, send us feedback, vote, and comment. Viewing the roadmap stores nothing about you. If you choose to submit feedback, vote, or comment, the following is saved to the public CloudKit database of our own iCloud container (iCloud.com.southindus.pulse):

• What you write: the title, description, and category of your feedback, and the text of any comments.
• Any screenshots you choose to attach.
• An optional display name, only if you enter one.
• Basic technical details to help us understand the report: the App version, operating system version, device model, platform, and language setting.
• An anonymous CloudKit user identifier generated by Apple, which lets you manage your own submissions and votes. It does not reveal your name, email address, or Apple ID, and we never receive those.

Submissions, votes, and comments are visible to other users of our apps on the public roadmap. You appear as "Anonymous" unless you enter a display name. Please do not include personal information, or anything from your boards you would not want to be public, in your feedback or screenshots.

We use this information only to understand and prioritise improvements to our apps and to moderate the roadmap (for example, removing spam or abusive content). We do not use it for advertising, and we do not sell or share it with anyone. This feature requires an iCloud sign-in and is entirely optional; Stack is fully functional without it.

Stack's widgets, Shortcuts and Siri actions, Focus filter, and "Share to Stack" extension all work on your device. To let them read and add tasks, Stack keeps its data in a container shared only between the App and its own extensions on the same device. Tasks and boards may also be added to your device's Spotlight index so you can search for them; that index stays on your device.

Stack only accesses files you explicitly choose through the system file picker or the share sheet. Attachments and cover images you add are stored with the task on your device and in your iCloud (and on a shared board, with its participants). Stack does not access your camera, photo library, contacts, calendars, or location.

If you set reminders on your tasks, the App schedules local notifications on your device. These are created and delivered entirely on-device. We do not send push notifications and do not operate a notification server.

Stack can hand off to our other apps (for example, opening a task in another Native Loop app) using an on-device link. Any information passed this way goes directly from one app to the other on your device and is never sent to us. Information handled by another app is governed by that app's privacy policy.

Stack uses zero third-party SDKs, analytics, advertising, or tracking services. All functionality is built exclusively on Apple technologies and our own first-party code. The only network connections the App makes are to Apple's iCloud — for syncing your boards, for shared boards, and for the optional Feedback & Roadmap screen.

Your data is stored on your device and in your personal iCloud account. We do not operate any servers or databases. Here is how your data is handled:

• On your device: Data is stored locally for as long as you keep it. You can edit, archive, or delete individual boards, lists, and tasks at any time, and deleting the App removes all local data.
• In iCloud: Data is retained per your iCloud settings and Apple's policies. You can turn off iCloud Sync for the App in your device's iCloud settings, or manage the App's data from your Apple ID's iCloud storage settings.
• On shared boards: A shared board is retained in the owner's iCloud account for as long as the owner keeps it. Once the owner stops sharing, or you leave, the board is no longer available to participants.
• Feedback & Roadmap: Feedback, votes, and comments you submit are retained on the public roadmap until they are removed. To have anything you submitted deleted, contact us at the address below.
• On our servers: We do not operate any servers. No board data is stored by us.

iCloud data is protected by Apple's built-in encryption. Shared boards are available only to the iCloud accounts invited to them. Since we do not collect or store any of your board data, there is no board data on our end to be compromised.

Stack is a productivity tool and is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted personal information through the Feedback & Roadmap screen, please contact us and we will remove it.

This Privacy Policy is effective as of 9/14/2026 and will remain in effect except with respect to any changes in its provisions in the future, which will be in effect immediately after being posted on this page.

We reserve the right to update or change our Privacy Policy at any time and you should check this Privacy Policy periodically. Your continued use of the App after we post any modifications to the Privacy Policy on this page will constitute your acknowledgment of the modifications and your consent to abide and be bound by the modified Privacy Policy.

If we make any material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will notify you either through the App or by placing a prominent notice on our website.
